Organised by Dr. Samantha Iwowo and myself at Bournemouth University in 2022, this symposium initiated an interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers studying mechanisms, discourses and impacts of stereotypes in media and social life. It aimed to build bridges between paradigms and methodologies from a diverse range of disciplines, such as Social Psychology, Postcolonial Studies, Psychosocial Studies, Gender Studies, Disability Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, History, Politics, Media and Communication Studies.
